This morning we crossed into Brazil to view the falls from that side. After a 20 minute ride we had to go through Argentinian customs (they had drive-through kiosks so it was very efficient), across a bridge, through Brazilian customs (we had to get out of the car and stand in line…not so efficient), then a drive to the park, a long line to get on the bus and a bus ride to the trail head. Fortunately the trail was pretty shaded and fairly flat and/or downhill most of the way. Only a few stairs up.
Most of the views on the trail were of the Argentinian falls...
until near the end of the trail when we were able to go out on a walkway...
where we got some particularly good views of the Brazilian falls.
The walk was pretty close to the falls and consequently we got soaked. Again.
We got a good view of the boats going into the falls.

Gorgeous views.
On the walk we saw another Tegu lizard...
A cormorant in the waters below one of the falls,
and an interesting tiny tube coming out of some moss. The tube was an entrance to a hive that had been constructed by bees.
We also saw another coati hanging around the crowds looking for handouts.

Also saw lots of mushrooms growing out of tree trunks.
The return trip…and the trip through customs for both countries got us back at our hotel by mid-afternoon. We took walk around the grounds and then packed.
