It’s a bit overcast and a bit rainy today but we headed out anyway for our morning tour that consisted of a hike up onto the mountains
for a close-up view of the Horns (Cuernos).
If one looks closely the stains on the inside face of the right formation looks very much like a gaucho on horseback.
The return took us back by the Salta Grande (Big Falls) for some additional viewing.

After lunch Mary opted for a visit to the hot tub and Paul headed out for an afternoon tour that took him to an Estancia (an estate or ranch station) where he got a tour of the house...
and got to meet a gaucho and the horses.
This was followed by a hike through a forest and grasslands.
He got a close up view of an owl...
and guanaco bones.
Diving back to the hotel:
On that tour he met Christian and Sara, professional photographers from New York who were vacationing here rather than on a professional shoot. We ended up having dinner with them as well.
